How do I create an order?

I placed an order, did you receive it?

UKTECHSTORE has a system in place to notify our customers that we have received your order. This notification is sent to you via email shortly after you have completed your purchase. If you do not receive this email within 24 hours of your order, please contact us so we can confirm your order. Almost all orders placed before 3pm GMT will ship out the same day.

How do I cancel my order?

If your order has not yet been shipped, you may contact Customer Service to cancel the order. Orders that have already been shipped cannot be cancelled.

How do I track my order?

Because we ship to our customers so quickly at UKTECHSTORE checking your order status is generally not necessary. A tracking number will be provided upon request.

How do I return my product?

You can request a return merchandise authorization (RMA) and then write the RMA number on the outside of your box and mail or ship back the product.

What are my payment choices?

We accept Visa, Mastercard (Credit or Debit) as well as Bank Wire Transfers (please contact for further info regarding Wire Transfers)

When will my credit card be charged?

Your order is reviewed before your card is charged. This usually takes one to two hours after your purchase.

Why am I not being charged any VAT? is a subsidiary of a global IT product distributor headquartered in Canada. All purchases are handled through this channel and as a result are not subject to VAT therefore none is collected. Our ability to bring some of the best pricing to the UK stems from the volume purchasing power of our parent company. We save and so do you!

Will I get a sales receipt?

Yes, you will automatically receive a sales receipt from our payment processor once your order has been approved. We will not be able to issue separate VAT receipts. 


Is your software authentic?

All our software is 100% authentic genuine guaranteed product. We actively inspect all stock we receive and have very strict internal guidelines for the receiving and inspection of merchandise. We offer a money back guarantee.

Is your software used?

No, all the software we sell is brand new. Occassionally a product may have broken shrink wrap as we have very high quality checking standards and we inspect all products that we receive for authenticity.

Is it faster to order by telephone?

No, our system is designed to process online orders first, they will take precedence in shipping. You can also enter information faster online than we can take it over the phone.


What does CAL stand for?

Client Access License. These grant the right for a computer to have access to the server, which is different than an operating system or workstation license which grants you the right to have an operating system running on your system.

What does OEM mean?

OEM - Original Equipment Manufacturer
OEM software is a full install version (cannot be used as an upgrade) of the software. The software runs exactly the same way as the full retail version (including automatic updates). The differences between OEM Vs FULL are:
1. OEM does not come in retail packaging.
2. OEM is not transferable. Once you activate it on a computer, the software cannot be transferred over to another computer, even if the original computer breaks.
3. Manufacturers do not supply free technical support or installation support for OEM.

What does COA mean?

Certificate of Authenticity. This confirms that the product was legitimately manufactured.

What does no media mean?

No, CD or floppy disks will be included.

What is the difference between an update and an upgrade?

An update is basically a software patch that you pay for. An upgrade takes you from one version to another such as from Windows 95 to Windows 98. Going from Windows 98 to Windows SE (second edition) would require an update.

How do I know my transaction is secure?

We employ the latest encryption technology in all areas of the site that require you to provide your personal or account information. What is an Education Edition?

Any software labelled Education Edition is identical in every aspect to the commercial version. This is a FULL version software without any limitations, it contains the exact same applications, material and documentation as the commercial version. The software itself installs the exact same as the full priced version. It is guaranteed to install, activate, register update and is eligible for support.

Does it come in the same packaging?

Yes, it comes in a factory sealed retail package.

Is any academic information required for installation or registration?

No academic information will be required to register or install the product.
